STUDENT
REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL
The
group consists of class elected representatives from each of grades 3,4,5
and 6 (one girl and one boy). The
Student Representative Council provides opportunities for students to
develop leadership skills. Members are introduced to practices and systems
which enable them to be responsible for making decisions about relevant
issues which affect themselves and their environment. A Student
Representative Council gives students from different levels a chance to
exchange ideas and to work together as a team. The
school has four houses named after local streets. Each House chooses a
girl and boy captain. Throughout the year, captains help with a variety of
functions and they encourage their team members to work well in all areas
of school life. The
houses are: Furneaux (Blue) Orrong (Red) Carrington (Yellow) Loch (Green)
