Ripper Fete

Our biennial Ripper Fete is the school’s major social and fundraising event, bringing together the school and local community for a day of fantastic food, great entertainment and family fun!  In 2018 our fete will be held on Sunday, 27th May, 10am - 3.00pm.

There are carnival rides, face painting and sideshow games; market stalls with amazing vintage clothing, quality second hand toys and books, and homemade cakes, preserves and pickles.

On stage we have the Talent Show, School Choir and Parents & Teachers Band. And don’t forget to buy a ticket in the Ripper Raffle or bid in the amazing Silent Auction.

We THANK ALL of our local sponsors who supported Ripponlea Primary through the donation of goods and services for our 2016 Ripper Fete and encourage you to support these businesses where possible.

Ripper Art & Art Attack - Friday 26th May and Saturday 27th May 2017

Every alternate year to Ripper Fete is our fabulous Ripper Art event. Ripper Art takes place over two days:

On the Friday night we hold our Ripper Art Show and Auction, showcasing artwork from professional and semi-professional artists, many of them members of our creative Ripponlea parent community. Also on show is an exhibition of artwork from our talented students, which can be purchased by parents.  If you are a professional or semi-professional artist and would like to showcase your work for auction please use the attached form for submission.

On the Saturday the school is taken over by our Kids Community Art Day – a fun day of art and craft activities for kids. You might take home a badge, keyring, candle holder or dream catcher; or you can join in the group activities with Box City and weaving.  $10.00 wristbands can be purchased at the gate on the day or you can order using the attached form.

Grown-ups aren’t forgotten either, with delicious food, entertainment and the Ripper Art Raffle.

Biennial Whole School Concert

Every two years, our talented and creative students, staff and parents, produce a whole school concert showcasing the Performing Arts program of Ripponlea Primary School.

The 2015 concert - "Let's Go To The Movies" - was held on Tuesday 8th September at the Cripps Theatre, Caulfield Grammar School.

Our 2017 concert - "The Great Chiko Roll Mystery of 1983" was performed to a fullhouse on Tuesday 29th August.

Hope For Glen Eira Food Drive

In May 2016 Ripponlea Primary families were asked to suport the "Hope For Glen Eira Food Drive".

With our very significant involvement the drive reached their goal of supplying local families in need with $15,000 of non-perishable food items.  That equates to over 550 bags donated.  A wonderful contribution to our local community.

Community Fundraising

The Ripponlea Primary School community also supports a number of charitable organisations, through fundraising activities or donations in kind. Some of the initiatives, which may be student, teacher or parent initiated, that we have supported are:
