Learning at Home

According to Richard Walker - a leading educational psychologist at Sydney University - homework at the primary school level has little impact on academic performance.  There is a lot of evidence that quality family time, sports and play-based activities are more impactful after school hours, and for these reasons, RPS does not issue formal homework. We do encourage daily reading, and from time to time will ask students to complete some home-based activities as an extension of what they are learning in class.
