At Ripponlea Primary School, we follow a clear and consistent process for reviewing and updating our policies using the Department of Education’s Policy and Advisory Library (PAL). PAL is the official source for all current Department policies, ensuring our school remains compliant with legal and operational requirements while aligning with best practice across areas such as curriculum, wellbeing, safety, and governance.

Policies are reviewed on a regular cycle or in response to Department updates, legislative changes, or feedback from the school community.

Each policy review involves cross-checking with PAL, consulting relevant staff or sub-committees, and drafting updates that reflect our local context. Policies requiring community endorsement are presented to School Council for approval. Once finalised, policies are published on our website, communicated to staff and families, and embedded into daily practice. This robust process ensures that our policies are not only compliant, but practical, inclusive, and supportive of the wellbeing and learning of all students.
